Vietti Barolo Cerequio 2019 3L

Vietti Barolo Cerequio 2019 3L

Vietti Barolo Brunate 2019 is a powerful and highly expressive single-vineyard Barolo from the historic Brunate MGA in La Morra, one of the most celebrated sites in the appellation. The combination of old vines, limestone-rich Marls of Sant’Agata soils and the exceptional 2019 vintage results in a wine of both intensity and finesse. The 3L format supports exceptionally slow evolution and long-term ageing.

The nose is expansive and layered, opening with plum, citrus peel and spice, alongside notes of cedar and grapefruit. With time in the glass, the site’s signature violet florals emerge, adding lift and aromatic precision.

The palate is full-bodied and structured yet notably refined, showing velvety, rounded tannins typical of La Morra combined with vibrant acidity and concentrated red fruit. The finish is long and persistent, with a subtle note of liquorice root adding savoury depth.

Bottled unfiltered after around 30 months of ageing in large oak and a portion of barrique, this is a Barolo that balances power with elegance and aromatic complexity. It pairs beautifully with truffle dishes, roasted meats, game and rich Piedmontese cuisine, and has outstanding ageing potential.
