Marquis d'Angerville Volnay 1Er Cru Taillepieds 2022

Taillepieds sits high on the Volnay slope, and in 2022 it delivers a more structured, quietly powerful take on Pinot Noir. The nose is refined and lifted, with red cherry, raspberry and rose, layered with subtle spice and mineral notes. The palate is finely built, showing purity of fruit, bright acidity and firm, linear tannins that give the wine tension and length.

More tightly coiled than many Volnay wines, this is a Pinot Noir with depth and ageing potential. Best enjoyed with duck, game or mushroom dishes, or cellared to allow its full complexity to emerge.
